A Certified Fitness Trainer is a professional who develops and implements approach to exercise leadership in healthy populations and/or those individuals with medical clearance to exercise.
Using a variety of teaching techniques, the Certified Fitness Trainer is proficient in:
- Leading and demonstrating safe and effective methods of exercise by applying the fundamental principles of exercise science.
- Writing appropriate exercise recommendations.
- Demonstrating safe and effective methods of exercise.
- Motivating individuals to begin and to continue with their healthy behaviors.
Self paced learning over 6 weeks in online format
Assessment:
You will have a practical exam, a multiple-choice online exam and a case study to submit at the end of the course.
Certification:
You will be awarded:
- ESA’s Fitness Trainer Certificate.
